Open Dance Floor Policy
At Subcultural Music, we believe electronic music is at its best when everyone feels welcome, respected, and free to be themselves.
Every event, broadcast, and community experience is built around the values that define us—music, culture, and community. By attending a Subcultural Music experience, you agree to contribute positively to the environment we are creating together.
Our events are designed to bring artists and audiences closer. Whether you’re on the dance floor, behind the decks, or part of our community, we ask everyone to treat one another with respect, kindness, and consideration.
Respect Comes First
We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, intimidation, violence, or any form of inappropriate behaviour.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Physical or verbal harassment
Discrimination of any kind
Touching anyone without their consent
Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour
Damaging the venue or equipment
Disrupting artists or other guests
Anyone found engaging in unacceptable behaviour may be refused entry or removed from the venue immediately without a refund. Venue management and the Subcultural Music team reserve the right of admission at all times.
Looking Out for Each Other
A great event is built by the people in it.
If you witness behaviour that makes you or someone else feel uncomfortable, please speak to a member of our team, venue staff, or security.
We’re here to help.
Every concern will be treated respectfully and handled as appropriately as possible.
If you’d prefer to contact us after the event, you can always reach us at:
Artists & Performances
Our artists are at the heart of every experience.
Please allow them the space and respect they need to perform comfortably.
We encourage everyone to enjoy the music without interfering with performances, equipment, or production.
Remember:
By The DJs. For The DJs.
Photography & Filming
Many Subcultural Music events are photographed or filmed for future promotional use across our website, social media platforms, and digital channels.
By attending our events, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or video recordings.
Please be mindful that cameras are present and help create a positive atmosphere that represents our community.
Alcohol & Substances
We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly.
Please know your limits and look after both yourself and those around you.
If you notice someone who may need assistance, please notify our team or venue staff immediately.
The well being of our artists, guests, and community will always take priority.
Creating a Safe Community
Subcultural Music exists to strengthen electronic music culture through positive experiences and meaningful connections.
We ask every attendee to:
